DeVante Love, "The Modern Monk" (They/Them) is a Gay Olympic Martial Artist, QTBIPOC Counselor, Buddhist Monk and Performer who travels the world teaching marginalized students and artists how to find their inner peace and heal from difficulties in their past. They founded Healing Kung Fu, an online queer martial arts-dance academy that shares Qigong, Meditation, Dance, and Spiritual Philosophy that help students overcome conditioning and courageously embrace their true selves. They have a masters in Spiritual Psychology from Columbia University and are currently working on a PhD at Tufts exploring the intersections between QTPOC liberation, Ballroom/Vogue, and popular culture.
